Lou Reeds ehemaliger Lead-Gitarrist und Backingsänger ist einer der wohl zu Unrecht verkanntesten amerikanischen kosmopolitischen Singer-Songwriter.
Nach Reed nahm Jeff Solo-Alben für Polygram, Metronome, Deutsche Grammophon und RCA auf, absolvierte Gastauftritte mit Bob Marley’s Wailers und intensive Studioarbeit als Gitarrist und Vokalist. Sein Portfolio belegt die Zusammenarbeit mit Hitproduzenten wie Dennis Ferrante, Jack Douglas, und John Jansen.
Jeffs aktuelles Album heißt ‘Waited A Long Time”. Aufgenommen in Nashvilles legendären “Sound Emporium Studios”, präsentiert das Album einige der hervorragendsten Instrumentalisten der “Music City”: Union Stations Jerry Douglas, Mandolinenzauberer Sam Bush, Luke Bulla (Fiddlespieler bei Lyle Lovett), Ausnahmegitarrist Guthrie Trapp (John Oates, u.a.), Keyboarder John Deaderick (Union Station, u.a.), Todd Lombardo (Taylor Swift und, neuerdings KC Musgrave), Steve Mackey (Sheryl Crow, Wallflowers, u.a.), Sängerin Angel Snow und Prince-Bandmitglied Roy Agee an der Posaune.
Jeffs Co-Produzent Robertson Stokes und Toningenieur Jason Lehning haben zu dem beeindruckenden Sound beigetragen.

Jeff’s current album ‘Waited A Long Time”, was recorded at Nashville’s legendary “Sound Emporium Studios”. The album features some of Music City’s finest players Union Station’s Jerry Douglas, mandolin wizard Sam Bush, Luke Bulla (fiddle player for Lyle Lovett), guitarist Guthrie Trapp (John Oates, et al), keyboardist John Deaderick (Union Station, et al), Todd Lombardo (Taylor Swift and, recently, KC Musgrave), Steve Mackey (Sheryl Crow, Wallflowers, et al), singer Angel Snow, and Prince’s Roy Agee on Trombone.
Jeff’s co-producer Robertson Stokes and engineer Jason Lehning have contributed to the amazing sound.
Ross’s original material ranges from hard hitting and introspective, often country-inflected rock to bubbling reggae.
He currently resides on the island of Nantucket/MA, still playing live gigs all over the globe.
